Just a few quick comments on Episode 64.

  1. I should have sent an email in asking what the best \"camping\" retro games are out there.
  2. Love the Wife-Factor (look for forum post soon), last RPG played was probably Final Fantasy II (the real two from Japan) and that was probably 5 years ago.
  3. Definetly need some episodes with well-thoughtout TOP 10 lists, but I would like to see one list for each systems should take a few episodes and could be a good mini-segment followed by a top ten of the top ten finale.
  4. Top Ten Lists could then be posted to the forums and have voting associated with them and user submitted honorable mentions to be discussed during subsequent episodes.
  5. Worst give aways; TG-16 & N64 complete boxes.

I made a top 10 NES titles list for gameFAQs once (not my personal list, but what the typical fan considers best). The forum could come up with something drastically different no doubt.

Wow, I mean you managed to offend any African-American, Korean, and female listeners you may have in a single episode. A long time ago I knew someone who was all three but I doubt she's a listener. Still a fun episode though.

The bomb shelter game room is an awesome idea. One thing to watch out for is the humidity, if you store any boxes or magazines below ground they'll get destroyed unless you run a dehumidifier night and day.

I can't think of a single camping game other than Friday the 13th.. unless you count Berenstain Bears: Camping Adventure for the Genesis.

I'd also like to hear some top 10 lists – the voting/forum idea is good too.

Oh, and the Pokemon games in the junk box are from the box of \"Billy Yeung\" games I bought a while ago. I don't really even know that a Pokemon is so I threw those three games in there. The craze started when I was in college so I never got into it but figured someone would appreciate those games.

I think the listeners would love to have a Mike and Jeromy created lists, but I think a user/forum created list should also be prepared through consensus of the forums, but I think it would be best to have that discussion after they hear from the Retro Gods (this might include Huges too).

Oh I agree, just letting peeps know I went through a fairly lengthy study of it all once upon a time. It was intensive but a lot of fun.

Just for the record: I didn't take the Pokemon Games.  So unless Brucedickhamster took them they should be in there.

I'm thinking something casual would work. Maybe something as simple as \"next week we're talking about the top 10 SNES soundtracks, post your picks in the forums\". So then on the next episode they could bring-up some of the forum suggestions while talking about their lists.

And I'll concur with ** you don't have permission to see this link ** that it takes a good amount of work to make a decent list. All the things I've done like that took way longer than expected. Sure you can crank out a list off the top of your head, but if you start really thinking it becomes a big effort.

Funny show!  I tried to keep my laughter down while at work, but I'm betting I looked like Mike trying to keep the coughs down.  Luckily, I didn't have to leave the office to cough up a lung.

Top 10 NES list would be great.  Another idea is to devote a show to a retro console.  You could do a NES show that includes when you got your NES, your experiences with it, the TOP 10 list, any stories with your friends and the console, and anything else that comes to mind.

Maybe not a whole show, but what about a \"Retro console of the week\" segment…..
