Well, what did you guys think?

That was a little rase of what's to come. We are going to add Sega to the Retrocast each week. Jeromy wanted to make an all sega one first then next week we are gunna do a mix of both manufactures retro consoles.

By adding Sega we effectively added twice the content to scour through for stories and auctions. I can't imagine anyone being upset with adding Sega to the show.

Now to do something with retrosega.com ….

I enjoyed it – although the format would have worked better on April 1st :) If I get a vote, I say \"yes\" to including retro Sega stuff on the show.

BTW – you guys have got to get a Jaguar if you can. I bought one new on clearance back in 1996 for $50 and even though I've maybe played it for 10 hours I don't regret getting it. Good luck finding one at a yard sale though.

Everyday at the retrocast is Fool's Day HA!!

Seriously though we couldn't wait the rest of the year to put out this episode.

That was a great episode but I have to admit I had a little trouble figuring out when you where being direct and when you were playing 'opposite day'. I am all for Sega content on the retrocast. Which model Sega CD is everyone's favorite? I've always prefered the model 1.

Oh and yes that was me on the audio mail. I guess I picked a good week to ask that question.

I also only have the model two, but honestly I like the looks of it over the model one

Yeah, I agree the model 1 looks better. The downside, and I'm going entirely off memory here, is that it had a high defect rate – like the Xbox 360 only Sega actually gave a crap and fixed it. Going to a flip-top instead of mechanical tray resolved a lot of the problems. I've had the second model for 15 years or so now and it still works perfectly.

The worst is haveing a mode 1 genesis and model 2 sega cd without having the extra piece of plastic to extend the base.

Hugues is right there was a high rate of of failure with the original Sega CD system and they did fix it.

My favorite, based on looks, was the original. It made your genesis look futuristic (at the time anyway). I only own the model 2 myself as well and I have never seen the original in the wild. ever.

Which model Genesis is your favorite? Big durable Model 1, stylish and small Model 2 or the Super small model 3? (No Mike you can't include the Nomad, only consoles :P )

I vote for Model 1 on the Genesis as well as the CD. I wish more consoles had built-in headphone jacks. I guess I'm lucky for not only finding a Model 1 Genesis & SegaCD in a retro-game store for $35 together but also 'cuz it has never once failed on me.

Mike: Is the Nomad really that cool? You guys have been talking about it a lot and I've never seen one first-hand.

naa, we are already going over our hour limit we put on it when we started it back up.

I do have to say though, I am having a blast doing the show again. More fun this time than the first time around.
