My disorganized thoughts about #65…
-The line about Benny Hill music cracked me up, I actually keep a clip of it on my laptop at work and play it whenever someone mentions certain programmers on the team (ones who have a history for making problems worse).
-Sonic CD is definitely the best Sonic game on any platform
-Sewer Shark was the pack-in for the second Sega CD model. The original came with two games – Sherlock Holmes and Sega Classics (I just bought a copy for $2 last week).
-Mike – The Jaguar won't turn on unless there's a cartridge plugged in. The light won't even come on. I thought mine was broken once too.
-My favorite Dreamcast game – Grandia II, but Crazy Taxi is a close second.
-Yeah, ** you don't have permission to see this link **. It really was a fun job. I've said many times that I'd still be doing it if it paid what I earn today. The average store manager's salary is going to be around $30K. If you have no major expenses (i.e. live at home or in rent controlled housing) it's OK but you'll never earn much more than that. Even the district managers would be lucky to break the $50K mark. This isn't a bad time to try applying again. They'll be hiring Christmas help around the end of the month or early October. Each store will bring in 2-4 temp workers. 1-3 of those will be incompotent and/or thieves and won't be offered a permanent job in January. Kiss up to the manager and you'll get hired for sure, they pretty much have complete say over who they hire. Low pay, but lots of power trips.
-Dude, just take pictures of what was in the box even if it's not the original.
