That music is an orchestral version of Star Fox, maybe the ending credits song.

Oh and Nick's actually in the Eastern time zone. He & I have finished recording the main segment of the first try for a show. It still needs an intro (and a name obviously). The easy way to do it is going to be to have each person record their side of the conversation and then just send it to me and I will merge it all into one. Its just going to take a little while to get them all synced.

Hemrawc & Rubyclaw: Do you think you guys could get mics & get set up on skype sometime this week? If so I'd like to record a small segment with you guys. If we can't do it during the week, Nick will be free to record again Monday the 19th and after.

I like a lot of the names, but of the ones we all seem to like I'm leaning toward The Retro League.

Retro League sounds good to me.  I'll start working on pulling an intro together with video game sounds/clips, etc, if that's cool with everyone.  Then we could add some voice over that.  If we're going with the Retro League name, what about using the music from the Justice League cartoon with video game stuff added in?

A modified version of the Justice League intro has great potential for a comedic intro. I like it!

The Retro League it is!!!  I think the Justice League Intro is AWESOME!  I say go for it Nick!

Hey I'm thinking of trying to get my mic this evening.   Would anyone be up for recording tonight?

I'm thinking 9pm Central.

I would really like to have a discussion about what is Retro?  I think that term gets thrown around a lot and it seems appropriate for the first episode.  I think it would be great if everyone could get in on the disccusion.

How much did you guys record?  (Or how much is usable?)

Thanks hemrawc, I have that in mp3 format now.  I dunno about adding game sounds…maybe add our voice clips later on from various shows….

You can throw in whatever you think sounds cool.  You could even do the voiceover and introduce the show if you like.  It might be easier that way…at least for the first show.  I like the voice clips idea for later shows.

I would really love some applause at the end and Jeromy saying \"YES!\"   LOL!  That was always my favorite part of their intro.  I dunno, maybe we could add it for a single show or something down the road.  Whatever.

If possible, could you post the final product and leave a link on the forums so we can hear it?  Maybe even disccuss changes.

Anyways, thanks for doing this, Nick!

I might be able to, but I wouldn't count on it. I'll be busy throughout the week and I'll be gone this coming weekend so it'll be a little while before I can do a show. How much of a show would we do tonight?

I figured it out.  Hey Rubyclaw, I think we're going to record in about 30 mins if you want to join in…even if it's just to say hello

Download skype and then search for Hemrawc or JungleRatRob

Oh, sorry I didn't explain how skype works sooner. Once you've started it up, select the contacts tab and then click Add. Search for my nickname and it should show up. Then we can chat through skype or start a call.
