Sup guys? I made a little post on the home page but wanted to post a little something here in case you link directly to the forums.

If any of you guys would like to post new stories here and kinda keep the site alive please reply here. I f a few of you would be interested in doing some blogging here maybe the site could even become more popular than it was in the past. it could become the engadget of retro, which would be awesome!

anywho, I know a few of you are doing your own thing so no worries if you are pre-occupied as this is just a thought I wanted to roll out to see if anyone was interested.

If I saw some cool retro Nintendo stories on the internets I'd be happy to post them here – beyond that I don't have much spare time (can't even finish stuff for my own site lately).

Mike.

I'm not sure if you still check these forums regularly, so I'll try to email you as well.

I could regularly update your website with news. I have a history of being good at finding news for you (I was Hk-47 on your older forums.) I don't currently have a website I have to bother with myself, and with college being so easy and my classes all spread out, I have an abundance of free time that RetroNintendo could fill.

I know the current state of the website is a little discouraging, but RetroNintendo has had its ups and downs in the past. One thing I've learned about the appeal of Retro Gaming is that it is enduring. There will never be a time when the NES and SNES are no longer relevent.  That is why RetroNintendo will always have a place on the internet (or whatever comes along to replace the internet.)

I'll keep my eyes open!

Aside from that, you kinda have two links to the forums, and your Welcome sidebar lies about the Retrocast (I wish it weren't! Where the hell is Jeromy?)

EDIT: That was fast.

Oh… hey!….
Are you feeling ok? You look different.

Also, if I could make a suggestion about the forum structure. Some of the systems don't have any posts in them, and if people have something to say about a console not listed there, there's nowhere to do it. I think it'd make sense to have an "Other" category and to maybe collapse the low-traffic systems into there as well.

Alright, here we go, edit number 3. Huh, that's weird. The last paragraph is replacing the apostrophes with those boxes with numbers in it. Might want to look into that. And while we're at it this frame seems SLIGHTLY too thin, such that the very edge of all the text is being cut off as if the text box goes under the gray next to it.

But yeah! Is there a way I'm not seeing to submit stories to the front page? Or should we just send them to you? I was thinking one thing I could do to help out is write a little review about the 3D classics series of NES games coming out for the 3DS. I could also run down the virtual console games, but I'm sure as hell not gonna buy all of them :P But I could certainly talk about them or even just list them weekly if you guys wanted me to do that.

I have to set up a user posting system but for now the best way to help would be to post on twitter or facebook that the site is back and try to get some traffic back. The more peple the better. I am still working on the SNES games list and you may not have noticed but we just got a faster server.

I think it'd make sense to have an "Other" category and to maybe collapse the low-traffic systems into there as well.

I think the forums are small enough, especially since the site isn't very active at the moment, that there isn't really a need for divided categories. If we get a decent amount of traffic like we did in the old days, then a few categories (up to 4 or so) might be helpful, but honestly, I think it might make posting in the forums easier if there was only a single, general discussion category, especially since there's no limit to active topics in a category. It makes it difficult to keep up with topics in separate categories and see what's new.

Or if people don't like that idea, then maybe only a few, such as "Retro Nintendo," "New school Nintendo," "General Discussion," and "Web site discussion," or something like that.
