Hi, it's been a while….

A very long time ago, I started listening to this up-and-coming new podcast covering Retro Nintendo games, and after a few episodes, i was hooked, and enthused. I went on to subscribe to just about every podcast related to it.

Now I'm back, and wondering where all the old stuff is? The site's very much updated from when I remember it… I think it was running on php-Nuke back then.

Specifically, I'm looking for the Sega Retrocast, the GenY Retrocast, and, although less related, TheNintendoReport (With Jeff and Quinn) (I think both, or Jeff alone were members of the old RetroNintendo Forums…

I figured this would be the only place to post it where anyone with any relevant knowledge might see it, but I'm guessing that we're not very active at the moment … :P

But yeah, that's be very much appreciated. If anyone's still kicking about here from the very old days, drop me a bell, I have a feeling I might have been using the alias DarkCat the last time i was about… A choice I now very much regret.

So yeah. Retro Retro Podcasts, do you has them?

If you still have the Mike and Jeromy show that would be awesome. My computer died earlier this year and I lost all of the old shows. I still think about a lot of the bits from time to time so if you had those it would be amazing if you could reupload them. I hope everything is going well with the both of you. And Thank you both for all of the great free entertainment. If you ever need anything that I could help with let me know.

Thanks a lot, Mike.

I tried hunting through a lot of archives; there's been a lot of stuff since I last remember listening… enough to make me second guess how long it's actually been since then, running on American time zones, but living in rural Scotland…

Listening to the RetroCast, and being active in the surrounding forums were a pretty big part of what I remember of my time online back then, it inspired me to start running the significantly less successful or popular VersusCOM podcast, which was a really great scene to get into at the time.

It's a testament to the early stage of mainstream podcasting you guys jumped in on, and in the merits of the work you did in the field that I remember distinctly RetroNintendo featuring in the Top 20, if not top 10 of Gaming related podcasts on the iTunes directory ( My gut tells me it reached #5, but i could be overestimating..)

But yeah, thanks a lot. Like with anything, it's always nice to hear about other people experiencing things in a similar way to you. Provides the basis for the popularity of most modern chart hits, even if the topics aren't necessarily reminiscent of my own experiences :P

And for that, and for coming from a country without half as many Yard Sales, or Amazing Gaming Deals at \"Target\", where only one game retailer stocked used games pre-Playstation, The RetroCast was pretty great for me.

And the forums as well. \"Guess The Game From A Random Screenshot\" threads that I'd actually care about and want to win…

It sounds very rose-tinted when you read it like that, but I really don't have a bad thing to say about the whole experience.

I found a folder with a bunch of the old RNRetrocasts in it ** you don't have permission to see this link **

I will keep looking for the rest of the shows and episodes.

Thanks, I'll have to go thru them to see whether there's any I have missed.  They're almost too sad to listen to however.  I still rememember the episode (from 2007 I think) when you announced the \"end\".  :(
