Does any else like this guys movies, and by like I mean LOVE!

If you've never seen Spirited Away, then rent it or download it and check it out. Also ** you don't have permission to see this link **

My Top 3 Miyazaki movie's:

  1. Spirited Away – blows my mind
  2. Kiki's Delivery Service – laugh if you must but this is a great movie with a main chr. you easily fall in love with
  3. Princess Monoke – animation is terrific and characters are solid

Any thoughts?

I've seen both Spirited Away and Kiki's Delivery Service and I enjoyed both of them! I have yet to see Princess Monoke, but I'm sure I'll eventually see it when me and my fiance hang out with our friend who is a big fan of anime movies.

While working at the video store I recommeded Kiki's Delivery Service to everyone, most people laughed but a few people rented and enjoyed it.

I just watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, which was good but I put it with Castle in the Sky.

I am nearly finished watch Howl's Moving Castle. I'd put this one in the Spirited Away style, so far a very good movie. I am impressed.

The only thing I just do not like is they use celebrities to do the voices but I don't like that in any animated movies.

Good recommendations! I liked Kiki's Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke. They're interesting, unique stories and the animation is really good. I think I have a VHS copy of Castle in the Sky somewhere but I haven't watched it yet.

I've seen Kiki's Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke. I actually enjoyed Kiki's Delivery Service, but aside from the fantastic visual, I was pretty apathetic about Princess Mononoke. Maybe I'll put it in and watch it again. Give it another chance.

The clips of My Neighbor Totoro that I've seen looked really weird. Let us know what you think of it.

This movie is very strange indeed. Honestly I wasn't impressed, I was also a little taken aback because it wasn't fully dubbed. I don't normally mind because I'm really down with japan but it was strange. Probably the 'worst' one I've seen yet but it's still not bad.

Going to watch Tales from the Earthsea next which is directed by Hayao's son ** you don't have permission to see this link ** but still produced by Studio Ghibli.

ack! My Neighbor Totoro is one of my favorites! Alas, not every is as right as I ;). But anyways, I have to agree with Jeromy on his first pick, Spirited Away was my favorite anime as a kid and still holds up today. Have you finished Howl's Moving Castle yet? That one is also great.

Not to be confused with Chocolardiac Arrest or This Brownie Might Kill You!
