It just occured to me that on the Retrocast Mike & Jeromy always talk about going to \"Yard sales\" but out by me they're always called \"Garage sales\". However, when I stray into Wisconsin most of the signs say \"Rummage sale\". It reminds me of this page – ** you don't have permission to see this link **
So what are they called out by you?

Garage sale and yard sale are both frequently used up here, never rummage sales

In Ohio we call them all three. Rummage sale is a little less common though. It's mostly old people that call them Rummage sales. Just today I passed a 'Yard sale' being held in a driveway, and a 'Garage Sale' being held in a yard two doors down. I love how people here always have to place signs in their yards to let you know, \"Why yes, the junk cluttering my yard IS for sale.\"

In Phoenix, I'm used to hearing yard sale, garage sale, and carport sale. FYI, JungleRatRob, \"boot\" is the British word for trunk as in trunk of a car.

Yeah I didn't know what boot meant, but even when I found out at first it still didn't make as much sense to me: \"Car trunk sale?\" But its just like it sounds: a flea market where people sell stuff out of their cars.

The only place around here that is still semi-decent to get NES titles anymore are flea markets, and even then the prices have started to creep into eBay territory… it is sad but the collecting a lot of games phase for me is over. No one seems to have the NES titles here, but that is likely due to my neighbours being newer arrivals to the country and older people who never had video game systems to begin with.
