Yesterday, I went to the local Pawn America and I saw an original-release N64 in the box for $14.99. I already have an N64 so I had second thoughts about buying it, but now I'm thinking I might go back to get it. Do you guys think it's worth it or should I just save my money?
Also, the box looked a little beat up around the edges and around the flap where the box opens.

Hmmm, well even a slightly beat up box can be a nice display piece, but if you're not looking to collect extra systems or display game boxes then the only reason to get it would be spare parts in case your current N64 fails. In my opinion 15 bucks for a working system with the box is a good price.

Go buy it, like JungleRatRob said, it's nice display item if you decide to show off later. I think it's important to have multiples of the same console because of the games. If you 20 N64 games and 1 N64 and then your n64 dies, you're out of luck. All the games are just dust collectors until you get another one. So whenever you see a good deal on a console, buy it, otherwise you may end up paying way too much for one at a store or ebay.

Alright, you guys have motivated me into buying it now, but I'm afraid I might not have time tonight to run out and get it. I'm also heading up to my fiance's house tomorrow morning so by the time I actually get a chance to stop at Pawn America again, it'll probably be gone. ** you don't have permission to see this link **
Darn.

I would have bought that with no second thoughts. I need an N64 box.

I would buy any boxed system for $14.99 – the worst possible outcome is you run out of space someday and have to sell it on ebay for a small profit.

So wait, your post implied that seeing your future spouse is more important than buying a video game machine that you already own? Gotta get your priorities straight, man.

You never know these days. Usually it's not completely broke, it just needs to fixed.
