If you don't have one yet now is the time. If you go to you local EB or Gamestop they may have a few used ones. If they do then they are only $9.99. I don't think they sold very well so pick one up now while you still can.

Nice – I bought one there about a month ago for $14.99 during a \"buy 2 get one free on all used items\" sale. Even if you have a GBA it's totally worth getting one of these too.

I've thought about picking up one of these, but haven't pulled the trigger. I keep hoping to run across one for $5 or less.

I got a good deal on one too and I picked up a retro-styled controller for my 'cube that looks just like a SNES controller but black. Its perfect for playing RPGs or games that should have been made for the SNES.

That's exactly why I bought one – there are some FF remakes and original Zelda games for the GBC/GBA that I wanted to play on the big screen.

Oh, dang! I can't believe I didn't see this thread until now! I'll have to check the local Gamestop tomorrow to see if they have one.

I missed out on the Gamestop sale, but have been looking on Ebay for one of these Gameboy Players. Cheapest one I can find is $20 or so. Is it worth that much? I remember when I got the Super Game Boy for SNES, I used it a few times, but didn't like it better than playing the handheld. I really did not like the border around it either. I believe this one has a border too, right?

I don't know about the border, but if you didn't like the Super Game Boy, then I probably wouldn't bother getting a Gameboy Player, unless you think you're going to be spending a lot of time paying GBA games on your TV.

I think I'll get one eventually, but I'm still hoping to find it on the cheap. I've had a Gamecube resurgence lately. Pulled out the 'cube and played a few games, found out what “other” things the system can do with the right accessories, and even bought a buncha Nintendo Powers from the Gamecube/GBA era. It's a Gamecube renaissance!!!

I'd call that a Gamecube trip. ** you don't have permission to see this link **
