I've had my PS3 for a while now, but it took inFAMOUS for me to really take the console seriously.  I have 7 PS3 games and 3 of them were bought in the last 2 months.  Before inFAMOUS, my newest PS3 game was Smackdown vs Raw, which I played a grand total of 1 time.  I have GTA4 and MGS4, but haven't finished either one.  There are PS3 games that I want, but don't have the cash to get any right now.  Also contemplating a 360 purchase…  Anyone else drudging through PS3 purgatory?  Outside of inFAMOUS, I haven't had a good time with the PS3, much less a great time.

Having said that, I'll not be getting rid of it since blu-rays look so good on my HDTV.  The PS3 also makes regular dvds look fantastic.

inFAMOUS is hilarious. Prototype is the same damned thing, except the movement is much more fluid and dynamic. inFAMOUS is speedier with the blur trails.

PS3 is most useful for the online store and online play; Juarez is a nice shooter, but really only worthwhile if you're playing a team death match. Arkham is gonna be a nice one, but a simple play through with a fantastic battle system if the demo is any hint.

I'd say LBPlanet is thr most ideal; time consuming and genius fun.

To be honest, though, I beg my brother to play Rampage World Tour or 1942. Those re-vamped classics are good nostalgia food.

I got Batman Arkham Asylum and Dead Space recently.  Played about an hour of Arkham and have not opened Dead Space yet.  I've now got 10 games each for the Wii and PS3.  Still no 360, but I have been looking at it since the price drop.  Probably stay away from it until another system comes out.
